Green 19, Green 19, hut, hut …
Whether your kids cheer for the Packers, Badgers or some other football team, they want to play like the athletes they see on the field. The YMCA youth football program provides an opportunity for kids to learn football skills and reap the rewards of being part of a team. Athletes will participate in both practices and league games, helping them build and improve essential skills and get game experience. Our football programming stresses growth and improvement in skill development and fundamentals.
NFL Flag Football Leagues
The Y’s NFL Flag leagues emphasize fundamentals, team play, sportsmanship and fun. Teams are composed of no more than 12 players, practice once a week and play games on Saturday mornings or early afternoons. A reversible NFL jersey and flags are included. Schedules and rosters will be sent to caregivers via email one week prior to the start of the season. Volunteer coaches are needed!
Practice days/times will be set by each teams coach. Practice starts the week of April 13, and games kick off on April 25. Some leagues and locations may be combined at each grade level depending upon enrollment. Preliminary locations include:
Sun Prairie: Patrick Marsh Middle School
East: East YMCA Activity Field
West: Toki Middle School
**There will be a $10 late fee for all registrations starting April 6. No special requests will be accepted after this date.
